2010 Annual Meeting Notice

The Conference of California Public Utility Counsel invites you to attend our 2010 Annual Meeting from Sunday evening, October 3rd through noon on Tuesday, October 5th at the Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe, located at 13031 Ritz-Carlton Highlands Court, Truckee, California.  The resort is located within Northstar-at-Tahoe.  Conference attendees and their guests will enjoy a reception and dinner at Chef Traci Des Jardins’ new restaurant, Manzanita on Sunday, October 3rd beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Guests will be charged $80.00 to attend the dinner. 

Please note, it is important to have an accurate count of attendees at the dinner, please confirm your attendance as well as any guest by September 22nd.  To receive a full refund for the dinner, including guest fees, you must cancel your registration by noon on September 28th.  Casual attire is appropriate for the entire conference. 

Beginning on Monday, October 4th, the conference includes a day and a half of panels on current regulatory issues of interest to our members.  The Conference of California Public Utility Counsel has been approved as a continuing legal education provider of Minimum Continuing Legal Education (“MCLE”) credit by the State Bar of California.  This program is approved for approximately 6.5 hours of general MCLE credit and 1 hour of Substance Abuse credit.

 If you wish to stay at the Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe, please contact the hotel reservation desk directly at (800) 241-3333.  Information regarding the hotel can be found at select “Lake Tahoe” under the locations tab.

The hotel is offering CCPUC attendees a special room rate of $165.00 per night.  We have 18 rooms blocked for government/public interest attendees at the rate of $94.00 per night (wait list available only at this time); please contact Shera Smith at, if you are interested in one of those rooms.  The hotel is also offering attendees a special parking rate of $10.00 per day.

Note, the hotel charges a $25.00 per day resort fee, that fee covers the gondola ride to and from the parking lot, internet access, daily group exercise classes, local and toll-free telephone charges, free newspapers and entrance to the Fitness Center.
