 Michael D. Montoya Michael Montoya is Manager of the Resource Policy and Planning Section of the Southern California Edison (SCE) Law Department. Mr. Montoya joined the SCE Law Department in 1992. During his 16-year career at SCE, he has represented and advised SCE in a number of areas including: qualifying facilities, distributed generation, direct access, natural gas regulation, demand response, retail tariffs and energy efficiency. His current responsibilities include overseeing legal matters involving greenhouse gas initiatives, resource adequacy, the Long-Term Procurement Plan and the California Renewable Portfolio Standard. Prior to joining SCE, Mr. Montoya practiced with the law firm of Kane, Ballmer and Berkman where he gained extensive experience in the area of Mr. Montoya received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1987 and his B.S. in Business Administration from Cal |
